BADGAR Hobson’s Bay & District (BHB) is a native wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organisation coordinated by The Hobsons Bay Emergency Wildlife Shelter. BHB is an energetic team of volunteers, foster carers, transporters, wildlife shelters and species specialists. We are one branch of the wider BADGAR organisation which has similar team’s to our’s operating from Ballarat to Gippsland.

FAWNA  (For Australian Wildlife Needing Aid – 02 6581 4141)

Is a volunteer wildlife rescue and rehabilitation service for injured and orphaned native wildlife. FAWNA operates on the mid north coast of NSW and is licensed by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS).


Is the Australian Wildlife Carer’s Network. It is a vital communication link enabling wildlife carers from a wide range of areas and experience, to learn from one another, to discuss pertinent issues and to be part of a non-political supportive community of fellow wildlife workers and carers.

Wildcare Inc. is a registered charity managed and operated by volunteers who are dedicated to enhancing the welfare of all Australian native wildlife. We pursue this objective through rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing back into the wild native animals that are sick, injured and orphaned; through education and awareness programs; and through advocacy for wildlife and its habitat.
